President Sargsyan Wraps Up Trip to CIS Meeting in Kyrgyzstan

After the close of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) Council of Heads of States meeting in Bishkek, Kyrgystan, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev and Russian President Vladimir Putin, paid his respects at a memorial in Arashan to those who fought and died in the Great Patriotic War.

They ten visited a sports complex built as part of the Gazprom Children project.

The CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) is a regional organization formed during the breakup of the Soviet Union, whose participating countries are some former Soviet Republics — Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
