Karen Grigoryan, running on the Republican Party of Armenia ticket, was reelected mayor of Etchmiadzin yesterday, beating his closest rival, Artur Toumanyan, by a vote of 10,587 to 3,651.

Artur Khachatryan trailed far behind in third place with 504 votes.

Out of 44,489 eligible voters, 16,045 turned out to vote.

Karen Grigoryan, a is the son of MP “General” Manvel Grigoryan.
