A Yerevan court today ordered that Sasna Dzrer member Arayik Khantoyan be held in pre-trial detention for another two months.

Khantoyan, a member of the armed group that seized a Yerevan police building in July, wanted to be released on bail while awaiting trial.

At today’s court session, when the judge asked Khantoyan if he had anything to say to support his bail motion, the defendant replied: “I have nothing to say since you are carrying out a political directive. Furthermore, the people and god are my judge.”
