Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) MP Tigran Ourikhanyan has launched a petition drive in Armenia’s parliament to change the pre-trial detention status of Andreas Ghukasyan, a member of the Votki Hayastan (Rise Up Armenia) civic group now facing charges of inciting public disorder.

Ghukasyan was recently denied bail.

Several other MPs - Elinar Vardanyan (BHK), Vahe Hovhannisyan (BHK), Stepan Margaryan (BHK), Zaruhie Postanjyan (Heritage) – have signed the petition.
