Armenian Law Enforcement Busts Mercury Trafficking Ring

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) says it arrested six individuals who were planning to sell 57 kilograms of mercury for US$160,000.

The NSS doesn’t say what the mercury was to be used for.

The six, who confessed, were charged with Article 275 of Armenia’s Criminal Code - Illegal turnover of strong or toxic substances for the purpose of sale.
