A Mercedes Sprinter van, travelling on the road from Sevan to Yerevan, lost control this morning and collided with a passenger car in the opposite lane, killing one van passenger and injuring nine.

The drivers of both the van and car were injured, in addition to seven van passengers.

The seven were on their way to attend classes at various Yerevan universities.

The Kotayk branch of Armenia's Investigative Committee has brought charges of "Breach of traffic rules and operation of means of transportation" (Article 242 Criminal Code).
