The NKR Ministry of Defense reports that its military units responded to Azerbaijani attempts to stage pre-assault operations along the Karabakh Line of Contact.

The Azerbaijani operation was halted, according to the ministry.

The ministry, in an official communique, says that Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire 55 times last night, firing 840 rounds of various caliber small arms weapons in addition to hand-held antitank grenades along the northern frontier.
