Armenia’s State Urban Development Committee convened an enlarged meeting of the Architectural Council of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin to discuss the issues facing the monastic complex of Tatev, located in the country’s southern Syunik Province.

Also attending were representatives of the Ministry of Culture and heads of the Tatev Revival Project and the IDEA Foundation.

Issues discussed included the results of an examination of the columnar bases of the complex, a blueprint for the complex’s belfry, and reinforcing the St. Peter and Paul and St. Gregory the Illuminator churches.
