1,800 students and preschoolers with flu-like symptoms in Armenia have been sent home to prevent others from getting infected, this according to the Ministry of Health.

The ministry says that their personal data has been forwarded to local polyclinics so that the children can receive medical treatment.

The ministry says that an outbreak of Type A influenza has hit Armenia and neighboring Georgia.
