Armenia: Exports Up, Imports Down When Compared to 2015

In the first ten months of 2016, Armenia posted US$2.6 billion in imports and $1.4 billion in exports.

While exports rose from $89.7 million in January to $160.6 million in October, imports rose as well, from $156.7 million in January to $318.3 million in October.

While Armenia continues to import nearly twice as much as it exports, the country’s foreign trade deficit lessened somewhat when compared to the same period in 2015. While exports increased by 19.8%, imports decreased by 0.3% overall.

These numbers are according to the National Statistical Service.
