Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan met with a delegation headed by Executive Director of VimpelCom Group Jean-Yves Charlier and stressed the importance of continued advancement of information and telecommunication industries in Armenia.

Karapetyan said that his government is working on a new development package for the telecommunications sector and is prepared to discuss different initiatives and proposals aimed at expanding the company’s commitments in Armenia with VimpelCom Group.

Jean-Yves Charlier said that VimpelCom Group has a long-term program of activities in Armenia and is prepared to carry out large-scale investment projects. He said that the investment projects will be aimed at optimizing services in fixed and mobile networks and the modernization of infrastructures.
