Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated U.S. Vice President-elect Mike Pence by phone today for the Trump team’s win in the recent presidential election.

According to a statement released by Sargsyan’s administration, the telephone call was at the behest of the Trump team.

Both sides underlined that relations between the two countries would only improve, both politically and economically. Regional issues were also discussed.
