Lilit: "If everyone gets well, I'll be a painter, not a doctor" (video)

Despite her medical problems, Lilit is a very energetic girl. She feels most sad when her mother cries.

Yesterday, when we went to see Lilit, her coughing spasms started up again. The respiratory device she uses to calm her breathing wasn’t working.

Astghik, who had come across Lilit’s Facebook page, donated a similar device and we took it to Lilit.

Karineh, the girl’s aunt, says the device is like water to a man roaming the desert; it’s that vital.

Hetq reader Zara and her husband Hamo donated their second TV to Lilit so that the girl could watch the Junior Eurovision. The sound emanating from the TV seemed to impart new life to the trailer in which the family lives.

Lilit’s grandmother was especially pleased with the new TV. Now she can watch the news and while away yhe hours following the soap operas.

Lilit’s brother Benik was crying the whole day his sister had the coughing spasms. Today, he was in much better spirits seeing his sister up and about. When Lilit feels strong enough, the two play and get their cousins involved in the game as well.

We had 21,000 AMD cash to hand the family but Karineh said they had no need for it right now.

“Better deposit the money in the account we opened for Lilit. Maybe we just might be able get out of this trailer,” she said.
