New Israeli Ambassador to Armenia Presents Credentials

Newly appointed Israeli Ambassador to Armenia Eliyahu Yerushalmi (residence Jerusalem) today presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in Yerevan.

Welcoming Ambassador Yerushalmi, President Sargsyan said the centuries-old historic links between the two peoples obligated them to intensify bilateral relations and to infuse them with a new level of substance.

Ambassador Yerushalmi said he had been sent to Armenia with the message that Israel wished to have open and developed relations with Armenia and that he would do all in his power to achieve this.

The two then discussed regional matters and developments.
