On April 2, a number of business owners are also running for a seat in Armenia’s new parliament alongside state officials and sitting MPs.

One of them is Vachagan Ghazaryan, who owns a 97% share in the Arpimed pharmaceutical company. The stock is valued at 822.273 million AMD.

The remaining 3% is owned by Artak Harutyunyan, son of Gagik Harutyunyan, president of Armenia’s Constitutional Court.

Ghazaryan has declared 4.482 million AMD in wages for 2016 – 182,000 AMD from Yerevan State University and the remainder from Arpimed.

Ghazaryan owns a 97% share in Kotayk Ltd. and 100% in Vas Farmamed Ltd.

Both companies are wholesalers of furniture, rugs and lighting fixtures.

In his recent financial disclosure, Ghazaryan’s cash assets aren’t noted.
