Armenian Prime Minister Focuses on Country's Inadequate Transportation
Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan has given his transportation and communications minister one month to evaluate the state of national and regional roadways in the country and to come up with a prioritized list of what needs to be done to improve what Karapetyan has described as “an unsatisfactory situation.”
At a government cabinet session today, Karapetyan said the level of accessibility to roads of public transportation was insufficient and that additional resources were needed to resolve the problem.
Karapetyan also called for immediate steps to modernize public transportation in the country.
The prime minister also gave the transportation minister until June 1 to draft and present a proposal to unify the country’s public transportation network.
