Armenian Minister of Emergency Affairs Davit Tonoyan today met with a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and discussed various joint grant projects now underway, focusing on one designed to improve the equipment used by firefighters in Armenia and another on the public announcement network to inform residents of emergencies and disaster risks.

Tonoyan stressed that there was the potential for even greater cooperation with the JICA, and that this would raise the level of tackling disasters throughout the country.
