Hundreds demonstrated outside the Turkish embassy in Tbilisi on April 24, demanding that Ankara officially recognize the 1915 Armenian Genocide and pay compensation for the losses suffered by the Armenian people.

The demonstrators also called on the Georgian government to respect the rights of Armenians living in the country and to start the process leading to Georgia’s recognition of the genocide.
