
Criminal Charges Against State Agency in Bridge Death of 13 Year-Old
The Yerevan branch of Armenia’s Investigative Committee (IC) has concluded that a state agency, the General Department of State Security Police, is at fault for the death of a 13-year-old boy who fell from Yerevan’s Davtashen Bridge o.n May 25
The IC launched an investigation into the incident, discovering that the girl, along with two friends, had hiked to the Hrazdan Gorge and then ascended to beneath the bridge, walking on the pylons for some time before losing her balance.
Employees of a police post nearby failed to spot the girl before she fell to her death.
A criminal case has been launched.
