Goris Hotel Director Complains About Water Cutoff and Utility's Poor Customer Service
Shahen Zeytountsyan, director of the Mirhav Hotel in Goris, has written to Hetq complaining that water to the hotel has been shut off without any prior notification.
Zeytountsyan says that such sudden water cutoffs occur like clockwork during the dry summer months, and that residents and businesses never know when the water will be turned back on.
Mirhav has been operating for the past twelve years.
Zeytountsyan says there are 56 foreign tourists now staying at the hotel and that the facilities water reserves, used for cleaning and bathing, can’t last for more than a day or two.
The hotel director writes that he’s been trying to phone the local water utility company, but no one answers.
Calls to the local and regional governments have elicited no assistance. Authorities argue the matter is out of their hands.
