Vanadzor Prison Chief Arrested on Bribery Charge

Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) has filed bribery charges against the head of the Vanadzor Correctional Facility and other officials at the prison.

The NSS says it has evidence that the officials had been demanding and receiving bribes from convicts in 2017.

The head of the Vanadzor prison, and its chief of operations, along with the person who gave them a bribe, have been arrested.
