Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office reports that a major serving in the Armenian Army has been arrested for official negligence that contributed to the October 10,2017 death of conscript soldier Chaplin Margaryan.

Margaryan was shot by7 Azerbaijani gunfire while serving at a northeastern military post.

An official investigation has revealed that the arrested major was remiss when it came to maintain security protocols during engineering work.
