Armenian and French Presidents Meet in Paris, Discuss Upcoming Francophonie Summit

This year’s Francophonie Summit, to be held in Armenia in October, was high on the list of topics discussed at today’s Élysée Palace meeting of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Accepting Sargsyan’s invitation to attend the summit, Macron said that France would do all possible to organize it at the highest level.

The two also discussed EU-Armenia relations given the signing of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement last November.

Macron asked Sargsyan about the latest developments in the Karabakh settlement process, and the steps being taken by the Armenian president to promote this process.

Here's a video of their statements after the meeting.
