The Armenia Police Department says it officers detained Nikol Pashinyan because he failed to heed their demand to halt a protest march on Artsakh Street.

Calling the march “illegal”, the Police Department says that protest organizers Ararat Mirzoyan, and Sasun Mikayelyan (both Yelk Alliance faction MPs) were also taken into custody.
