ARF Supreme Council Calls for "Political Agenda via Dialog and Consensus"

The Supreme Council of the ARF has issued the following statement on recent developments in Armenia

The timely resignation of Serzh Sargsyan as prime minister and the release of the three arrested MPs, creates the conditions for the start of a new stage of Armenia’s development.

For the correct start of this stage it is necessary to form such a political agenda, via dialog and consensus, to include a timetable and road map for the immediate reforms necessary.

The ARF will continue its efforts to create such dialog and consensus.

The essential guarantor for the success of this process, already begun, is the active participation of our citizens, especially the young generation. It is necessary to continue the peaceful nature of the people’s movement, while in parallel, taking into account the establishment of normal life. The people’s movement must continue to bar any outside interference in our internal life and guarantee conditions for a political solution of existing problems.

On the eve of the day memorializing the victims of the Armenian Genocide, it is necessary to transform this accomplishment of the people into a new and powerful agent for the rapid development of the homeland.
