People in Yerevan’s Republic Square, the epicenter of the anti-government movement that forced Serzh Sargsyan to resign as prime minister, today welcomed the news that their new prime minister would be Nikol Pashinyan, who spearheaded the movement.  

A festive mood reigned in the Armenian capital, with people popping champagne bottles and draping themselves in the tricolor, the country’s flag.
