Newly elected Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today hosted U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills.

At the meeting, according to the prime minister’s website, Pashinyan stressed the importance of continually strengthening Armenia-U.S. relations and welcomed the readiness of the White House to intensify cooperation in several sectors, including the promotion of democracy, the defense of human rights, and the fight against corruption.

“We are full of energy, to reach our goals and achieve specific results, especially considering the positive atmosphere in the country today,” Pashinyan said.

Ambassador Mills congratulated Pashinyan for his election as prime minister and said that the United States government was ready to assist Armenia in achieving these objectives, and that this would make Armenia more attractive to American investors.
