Demonstrators Halt Protests in Stepanakert
In a Facebook post, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has written that the committee coordinating protests in Stepanakert, Artsakh, has decided to halt demonstrations given an agreement reached with Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan.
Pashinyan wrote “I am proud of you, proud citizens of the Republic of Artsakh.”
For the past three days hundreds had been demonstrating in Stepanakert, the Artsakh capital, in response to a June 1 incident in which members of the Artsakh National Security Service (NSS) assaulted two citizens.
