Metzavan Mayor Charged with Pocketing Wages of "Phony" Employees

The Tashir Police Department (Lori Province) has issued an arrest warrant for Metzavan Mayor Seryozha Vardanyan on charges that he embezzled AMD 4.5 million from the municipal coffers from 2013 to 2018 by registering phony jobs on the books and pocketing the wages.

Vardanyan is charged with falsifying the job positions of director and doorman at the Metzavan cultural center.
