Armenian Army Major Charged with "Dereliction of Duty" in Soldier's Death
Armenia’s Investigative Committee (IC) has filed criminal charges of “dereliction of duties” against a major in the Armenian Army that contributed to the death of soldier Chaplin Margaryan on October 10, 2017.
The IC says that Major T. Poghosyan allowed Margaryan, who was shot and killed by Azerbaijani gunfire, to work on strengthening defense bulwarks at the army base he was serving at during “ideal visibility conditions” for the Azerbaijani military, in contradiction to existing military code.
