Armenian President Meets Armenian Interns in Washington D.C.
June 28 was a busy day for Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, now on a working visit to the United States.
In the morning, he had a working brunch with the leadership of the U.S. Congressional Armenian Caucus in Washington D.C., followed by a meeting with representatives of the Ramgavar Liberal Democratic Party.
He also met and had a Q&A with Armenian students interning at the U.S. Senate and Congress, and the Smithsonian Institute.
The day before, Sarkissian laid a wreath at the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial to honor the 26th President of the United States for defending the rights of Armenians and other Christian minorities in the Ottoman Empire.
