According to his financial disclosure, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, appointed Governor of Gegharkounik Province on June 1, has AMD 18.5 million in the bank, along with $45,000 and €15,000.
Saghatelyan, who served as an adviser to the Minister of Nature Protection from 2016 till his appointment as governor, also declared three automobiles (two Jeep Grand Cherokees and one Range Rover) and eight properties (two apartments and eight parcels of land).
“I’ve always had nice cars since 2002. It’s nothing new,” Saghatelyan told this reporter.
From 2009-2012, Saghatelyan worked as an adviser to a National Assembly deputy and told Hetq that he mostly worked on an unpaid basis during these government jobs.
He shares ownership of those eight land parcels, mainly small garden plots and pasture lands, with family members.
Saghatelyan also owns shares worth 50,000 drams in E-Mega Services, a company he founded in 2006.
