Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today met with Serj Tankian and Garin Hovannisian of the newly founded Creative Armenia charitable organization.

Rock musician Tankian is an adviser to Creative Armenia, which describes itself as “an arts foundation for the digital age.

Hovannisian, son of Heritage Party of Armenia head Raffi Hovannisian, is the organization’s founder and CEO.

Hovannisian explained the organization’s objectives to Sarkissian, noting that Creative Armenia's mission is not only to spur Armenian culture, but to discover and support a new generation of artists.

Sarkissian said he would do whatever he could to assist the organization in achieving its goals.
