Former Yerevan High School Principal Charged with Embezzlement

Armenia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has charged a former Yerevan public high school principal of embezzling 7.6 million drams over a seven -year period.

Investigators have revealed that the principal of P.S.46 registered his three sons on the school’s accounts as employees, paying them wages, even though they never worked a day at the school.

One son was listed as a preparatory physics instructor, one a night security guard, and one a boilerman.

It is about 2050 euros per year, for three sons. Dear people, I do not think that these are the real problems of Armenia. The fact itself is unworthy, no question. But the magnitude! For the Prosecutor General’s Office?
