Yerevan: Sasna Tzrer Movement Morphs Into Political Party

Supporters of the Sasna Tzrer political movement today gathered in Yerevan and unanimously voted to create a political party that will participate in the future snap parliamentary elections.

The party will be named the Sasna Tzrer Pan-Armenian Party

The radical Sasna Tzrer movement came to prominence in July 2016 when around 30 armed members seized a Yerevan police building, holding for two weeks before laying down their guns and surrendering.

One policeman was killed in the attack and nine people were taken hostage.
