Education Minister Attends Launch of Mobile Kindergarten in Drakhtik
Armenian Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan today attended the launch of a mobile kindergarten in the Gegharkounik community of Drakhtik.
Harutyunyan told the assembled crowd that it’s been proven that children attending pre-school do better when they enter first grade and that the current Armenian government is paying close attention to improving pre-school programs and will be working with its European Union partners on the matter.
The “mobile kindergarten” model is especially designed for children aged 3-5 living in Armenia’s rural communities. Teams of teachers will make the rounds of various communities, tailoring classes for each.
