On January 25, 2012, in Bucharest, Yerevan State Linguistic University Rector  S. Zolyan and Mr. Abderrahmane Rida, Director of the Bureau for Central and Eastern Europe of the Francophone University Agency (AUF - L'Agence universitaire de la Francophonie) signed an agreement to create a special open-access electronic Armenian-French dictionary.

As a partner to establishments for higher education and research who have chosen French as their teaching language, the AUF proposes several cooperation programmes, designed in particular to support research and education in French. By the support of the later, the Francophone Digital Center of Information, which is the only one in Armenia, functions at YSLU.

Today, such a  dictionary has a great demand among linguists and translators.
