The father of Vahagn Chakhalyan, a Georgian-Armenian activist who was sentenced to 10 years by a Georgian court, has handed over the following letter by his son to Hetq for publication.

“I congratulate the 5th birthday of my son Ruben and the 20th anniversary of the founding of the RA Army. I am convinced that January 28 will serve to guarantee another thousand years of creative existence for our nation and the Armenian people worldwide.”

Vahagn Chakhalyan is now serving out his sentence in the Rustavi maximum security prison in Geoorgia.
