Rule of Law Party Mayor Likely to Challenge Republican Party MP

14:44, February 1, 2012Voskevaz village Mayor Hayk Hovhannisyan, a member of the Rule of Law Party, will most likely challenge Republican Party incumbent Khachik Manukyan as representative of the 15th electoral district in the upcoming parliamentary election.
Hovhannisyan told Hetq that while he hasn’t reached a final decision on running, his candidacy is most probable.
The mayor said that after Manukyan was elected, the MP has literally dropped out of sight.
The Rule of Law Party is a junior member of the ruling Armenian government coalition.
