
English Language Clubs to Open in Berd, Jermuk and Vayk Senior Schools
UK Ambassador to Armenia Judith Farnworth and Armenian Minister of Education and Science Arayik Harutyunyan today, in Yerevan, signed a cooperation memorandum to launch the second stage of a program (Improving Skills in the Name of a Stronger Society) that will open English language groups in regional senior schools in Armenia.
Harutyunyan, according to a ministry statement, said the aim of the program is to improve language skills of pupils attending regional schools, to help teachers hone their professional capabilities, and to develop critical thinking.
Six groups were established in Yerevan and some of the country’s other provinces during the first stage of the program.
The second stage will target senior schools in the towns of Vayk and Jermuk (Vayots Dzor) and Berd (Tavoush).
