Armenian Parliament Prez Heads Delegation to Moscow
Armenian National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan leaves for Moscow on February 25 on a two-day working visit at the invitation of Valentina Matviyenko, a Russian politician serving as the Senator from Saint Petersburg and Chairwoman of the Federation Council.
As the Speaker of the Upper House of the Russian Parliament, Matviyenko holds the third highest post in Russia after the President Valdimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
Those escorting Mirzoyan include National Assembly Vice President Alen Simonyan and MPs Ruben Rubenyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Vladimir Vardamyan, Lilit Makunts, Edmon Marukyan, Arman Abovyan and Anush Beghloyan.
