
Armenia Parliament Speaker and UAE Ambassador to Armenia Discuss Economic Cooperation
Armenian National Assembly President Ararat Mirzoyan, in Yerevan today, hosted newly appointed UAE Ambassador to Armenia Mohamed Al Zaabi,
After congratulating Mohamed Al Zaabi on being appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Mirzoyan highlighted the role and importance of parliamentary diplomacy and announced the future formation of an Armenia-United Arab Emirates Parliamentary Friendship Group would be formed.
Regarding the current state of Armenia-UAE relations, Mirzoyan stressed the work of the Inter-Governmental Committee in boosting the trade-economic cooperation.
“The United Arab Emirates can be a window for Armenia within the frameworks of cooperation with the Gulf countries, and Armenia in its turn can be a bridge for the EEU countries and markets,” Ararat Mirzoyan said, this according to an Armenian Parliament press release.
For his part, Ambassador Al Zaabi emphasized the role of the Armenian community in the UAE in strengthening cooperation between the two countries, as well as its participation in the development of the country.
