Armenian President Armen Sarkissian today met with World Bank Armenia Country Manager Sylvie Bossoutrot and the two discussed matters related to future cooperation between the WB and the Armenian government.

President Sarkissian, according to a government statement, stressed the important role international financial organizations are playing to ensure quick economic development and the eradication of poverty.

Bossoutrot noted that a strategic document is now being drafted that will specify the priorities to be targeted via World Bank and Armenian government cooperation over the next four years.

The document will focus on increasing Armenia’s exports, the development of human capital, and improving natural resource management.
