Gérard Wertheimer, a French businessman who owns and controls the House of Chanel fashion company in partnership with his brother Alain, arrives in Armenia on March 9 at the invitation of Armenian President Armen Sarkissian.

Wertheimer, according to an Armenian government press release, is visiting Armenia for the first time and will tour the country’s various historical and cultural sights of interest.

The privately held House of Chanel was founded by Wertheimer’s grandfather Pierre.
