Armenia’s Investigative Committee (IC) reports that an Artsakh Defense Army soldier has been arrested as a suspect in the March 12 death of Karen Karapetyan, a Defense Army draftee who was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest at a northeastern military base.

The name of the suspect, a member of Karapetyan’s unit, has not been made public, nor has any possible motive been hinted at.

The IC says the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
