Kocharyan to Appeal Lower Court's Pre-Trial Extension Decision

Lawyers for former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan say they will appeal a March 20 decision by Yerevan’s General Court of Jurisdiction to extend Kocharyan’s pre-trial detention by another two months.

On December 7, 2018, Armenia’s Court of Appeals ruled in favor of detaining former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, charged with usurping state power during the March 1, 2008 post-election public protests.
