Eurnekian's Company to Spend $12 Million to Upgrade Zvartnots Airport Runway
Armenia International Airports CJSC says it will spend $12 million to upgrade the runway at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport.
The company, a subsidiary of Corporación America (which is owned by Argentine businessman Eduardo Eurnekian), was granted a 30-year concession deal for the management of operations at the airport in 2001.
The runway dates to 1963 and was renovated in 2003-2004.
The company says the runway will comply with the highest of international standards.
Work begins tomorrow and will last for 45 days.
