Armenian Health Minister Expresses Regrets About Bribery Arrest of His Deputy
Following the arrest of his deputy minister on suspicion of receiving a bribe, Armenian Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan today released a statement expressing the regrets of the entire ministry.
Deputy Health Minister Arsen Davtyan was arrested on March 30 and later released on $10,000 bond.
“We voice our support for law enforcement in their fight against corruption. We sincerely believe that the uncovering of other incidents of corruption and illegalities will assist in uprooting them and making the system healthy,” Torosyan wrote in his statement.
