Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Tigran Khachatryan and newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy sat down in Yerevan today and discussed the potential for greater economic relations between the two countries, this according to an Armenian government press release.

Presenting the country’s economic priorities to Ambassador Tracy, Minister Khachatryan said: “In the current project, we’ve stressed the importance of the quality of economic growth and that it must impact many people. In this way, we consider economic inclusivity the essential measurement with which the government must be held accountable for its policy results.”

Khachatryan raised issues related to the importance of safeguarding property rights, improving the quality of education, and increasing manufacturing capacity.
