Catholicos Garegin II Consecrates Church in Stepanakert

Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II today consecrated the Sourb Astvatzatzin (Holy Mother of God Church) in Stepanakert, the capital of Artsakh.

Attending the Divine Liturgy and consecration were Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan, Artsakh Parliament President Ashot Ghulian, Artsakh Diocesan Primate Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, and other top church and government officials.

Կեցցես Վարազ, այո ես էլ նույն կարծիքն ունեմ։ Հրյաները իրենց պատմությունը կրոն դարձնելով փաթաթեցին մեր վզին և ահա 1700 տարի է, որ մեզ կոտորում են այդ պատճառով ու ասես մեր հոգևորականներն ու ազգի բարերարները իրենց խելքը հացի հետ կերել են և դեռ եկեղեցիներ են կառուցում, այն պարագայում, երբ Հայաստանի բնակչության մեկ երրորդը աղքատության մեջ է ապրում, սա ուղղակի ողբերգություն է, այլ եզրակացություն չի կարելի անել։
